Well, this summer of 2021 is proving different for many. Gone is the usual summer predictability as we navigate our way out of lockdown and settle for staycations. Mercifully here in the U.K., we are enjoying wonderful sunny weather as day time temperatures soar, making way for outdoor fun.
It’s a time to relax for some, while others are making the most of kick-starting their business and planning for the future in a less predictable, post pandemic world. Life has changed considerably since March 2020.
Which begs the questions, how is life going to be for us from now on? How will our work/ life pan out? How will our relationships develop or how might they change? How do we see our future? Can it still be the way we had planned? Or have we redefined how we want it to be; for ourselves, our families, our colleagues and friends?
With every change, comes opportunity. Admittedly some of the changes we have had to face may not have been welcome at the time, but if we can embrace change and become more comfortable with it, this prepares us for a better future.
One of the best ways to do this is to decide what we actually want from life. Awareness is halfway to solution! The solution is to decide how we choose our life to be. If it is to improve our health and energy levels, that needs to become our goal. If it is a more fulfilling career with better financial security, that needs to become our goal. If it is staying in the work we are in but coping more easily with the current situation, then that needs to become our goal. But if it is improving our relationships, or even discovering new ones which will bring us happiness and joy, then that needs to become our goal.
Sometimes it doesn’t take radical change to improve how we feel about a situation. It just takes awareness and commitment to make it happen. Rather like the benefit of a car Sat Nav (or road map) on an unfamiliar route, if we don’t know our destination, the Sat Nav cannot do its job. If we don’t know what we want in life, we are hardly likely to arrive at a satisfying destination either.
Happiness is about choosing our destination and then enjoying the journey. Our own internal Sat Nav will guide us there; we just need to decide what the destination is. Any destination.
In these ever changing times, I help people like you, set their internal Sat Nav, so that they can travel to their destination with confidence, sureity and peace of mind.
